My thought here is "before I even click that 'trending' text, what am I expecting to see?" And then just 'wow me' - that sort of thing.
Another approach is, to minimize clutter. Remove what shouldn't be there. I'll create a github page for this and put suggestions there for organizational purposes.
Yes, i really like your work so far, and I am def. a fan. Maybe ask fabiyamada for design work as she's very good and fast too
