Steemit Update [January 16th, 2024] : The Steemit Awards 2024 - The Winners
Thank you to all the many people who posted nominations for the 5th annual Steemit Awards.
The Steemit Team has been through all the nominations and come up with this year’s winners for each category - Best Teacher, Best Learner, Best Contest Maker and Best All Rounder.
This year we have chosen three winners in each category.
Each of the winners will receive a 100% vote from @steemcurator01.
Our congratulations to all the winners, and our great thanks to everyone who participated in the 2024 Steemit Awards.

I'm very happy to have received the recognition. As @chriddi mentioned, nobody nominated me so it feels more significant to have been selected!
Almost everybody else (if not everybody) could be considered a "safe pick" - all in the visible places (learning challenges, contests, etc.) - all of the places that I'm not!
I'm finding it difficult to find the right words - hopefully it'll inspire a few people to go their own way and away from the crowd.
I've probably worded this badly but I think you understand the message even if the words aren't quite right.
