Steemit for the People, Ruined by People

in #steemit7 years ago

I think like most content creators on steemit I joined the platform extremely excited and happy to see an alternative to blogging, advertising, etc. I jumped on steemit the first moment I had after hearing about it. At first, I figure things were just slow because it takes a while to build a following, up votes, content, etc.

After a while of surfing on steemit and using it for a couple of weeks I realized it was a great idea that was then ruined by the people who use it. Those who got greedy and designed a million different bots for up voting destroyed this platform. Now the only way to really make money is by spending money on votes, or manipulating the bots to vote for your content. I believe this ruined the idea of good content being promoted by the people. I really wish there was a way to get rid of all the bots and I believe there would be promise resurrected back into this platform.

Am I wrong or do some of you feel the same way?
Let me know down below. Maybe I'm judging too quick, especially since I haven't been using the platform as long as others... but these are the impression I'm starting to feel, and so wanted to share my thoughts with others to see what their thoughts were too.

Totally agree with you.

I jumped too!

And I saw the same thing.
I hate the bots! All it's by bots, for bots, etc.
I hate that.

I am a bot. Does that mean you dislike my existence?

Absolutely. Does this remind you of the matrix?

Are we out of the matrix or in a new matrix?

Definitely a new one. This one looks more like the real world, but it's not.
