Why are the whales selling their upvotes and delegating their SPs to Bots ?

Before i joined Steemit in January this year, i was told by the person who introduced me to the platform about how great it is and how creativity and originality will get you the exposure and recognition you want.

Few days from now and I’ll be 3 months old on steemit, and they’ve been no growth whatsoever. Despite the fact i take between 3 - 5 hours to put in a lot of creativity into my work. I have also invested more than a thousand dollars of my own money into the platform because i trusted it. This money invested is hard to come by, judging by the country where i come from.

The question is, why would people put in so much efforts into their works and yet get no upvotes ? Why are those who are meant to grow the platform now selling their upvotes and delegating their SPs to bots. How are the newbies who are trying to contribute their quota to this community grow ? Who will upvote for them ?

Truthfully, a lot of people i introduced have abandoned the platform. Go to the trending section and it’s the same people who fill that space everyday!! Most of the contents totally empty!!! But there’s so much attention given to them, because of their SPs and little or no attention given to the newbies who are taking so much of their time to create exceptional contents that are meant to move the Steemit community forward.

Why is it now all about the money for the big boys on Steemit ? How do i get to encourage new people who i know can contribute a lot to join Steemit? What testimonies do i have to share with them ? I already brought in more than 10 people and a huge number of them after putting in work and seeing no results have all left.

Or maybe i am wrong about the goals and objectives of this platform and i need a little more clarification.

I started in september and I have grown significantly, its not about brining others on board, its about creatign good content that people are willing to give you their upvote for. It takes time and patience.. just like any business. Those who put the time in everyday will reap the rewards down the road.

Thanks for your contribution. But after going through your blog, i have seen you have a lot of creative content which to me took you a lot of time and efforts. But having been here since September as you said, do you think it’s logical for you to still be earning votes worth with $0.07 and $0.09? As compared to other contents we see trending?

Its so frustrating..now with your SBD you can make a useless post more important with steemsmart and steemmarket and thats why we have those that used to trend with less interesting posts trending..and the newbies packing the dust".. Its rather disappointing than frustrating to have upto 3 interesting posts a day and no one seems to view talk more of upvoting..

Really true bro
