Good day Steemian it's been over 8 years since I have been on the Steemit Blockchain, I have attended many Steem official events and represented Steem at smaller events.

I make small Steem "power-ups" almost daily and have reported on "some" bigger power-ups made in the past, however I have mostly always neglected to explain "how" and "why" I do them and why you may want to do the same.

My problem was that I have always assumed people understood how to power-up and what doing so means to them and the Steem Token.

It's sadly been starring at me right in the face when time after time either, I will see newbies ask, or when I realise someone who as been on here for months still had no clue why keeping their Steem Power might actually be more beneficial to them.

From now on to remind, and teach others, I will sometimes post and share a recent Power-up made.

There as never been a single power down made on this account since "8 years ago", our mission is to retain and rise the price of Steem for the benefit of us all. We do this by not only holding STEEM but by also buying into STEEM from time to time. Doing all this rises the price of STEEM meaning your investment goes up in value and so does your earned rewards.

I'm sure we all want a better future for Steem and so casting your upvote here keeps Steem locked to raise it's value for us all plus we will try and use some of that Steem to buy even more. Most of the players in the crypto sphere are only here for some quick and often times shady profits, this is before they decide to just get up and disappear. But we have been here for the long run and would like to see Steem remain a strong and reliable token.

So without further ado lets take a look at today's Power Up for 27/5/2025 and how it's done.

Step 1: You must navigate to your wallet and ensure you are logged in correctly.
There are around 4 different ways to excess your wallet, we will only focus on 2.
The easiest for most people is likely the side side bar as depicted in the screenshot below.

Or you can simply visit: https://steemitwallet.com/
You should land on a page the looks like as depicted from the screenshot below.

Step 2: Once you have reached the website you will want to press "login" like I depicted on screenshot below. It will ask you for your Steem Username and Password, since you will be doing a "power-up" you need to make sure it's your transfer password and not the one you use for posting on the Steemit Blockchain.

Step 3: Checking to see if you have the amount of Steem Tokens you want to power-up, you can buy them from a exchange or earn them more slowly via creating content on the Steemit Blockchain.

Step 4: If you are logged into your wallet correctly the amount of STEEM tokens your have should be highlighted in green, by simply clicking on them you will be presented with a few options as depicted on screenshot below.

Step 5: Here we go, now we must enter the "Amount" of Steem we want to "power-up" today 27/5/2025 I will personally be powering-up 30 Steem, so this means I will enter it like this "30.000".

Step 6: Once you are happy and checked the amount you want to power-up you simply press the now highlighted big power-up button.

Step 7: Confirmation, you will have one more window pop-up for you to check and confirm you want to perform this action. If everything is correct it should be depicted as the screenshot below, now you simply press "Ok".
