Good day Steemian and welcome, this is more than just a price update on the Steem cryptocurrency for 16/1/2025, under the hood it's been a 8 year project.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content, plus I have attended many Steem official events and represented Steem at smaller events.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price and recent Steemit changes for over 8 years.

There as never been a single power down made on this account since that time "8 years", our mission is to retain and rise the price of Steem for the benefit of us all. We do this by not only holding STEEM but by also buying into STEEM from time to time. All this rises the price of STEEM meaning your investment goes up in value and so does your earned rewards.

I'm sure we all want a better future for Steem and so casting your upvote here keeps Steem locked to raise it's value for us all plus we will try and use some of that Steem to buy even more. Most of the players in the crypto sphere are only here for some quick and often times shady profits, this is before they decide to just get up and disappear. But we have been here for the long run and would like to see Steem remain a strong and reliable token.

Jan 2025- Bitcoin reached over "108.000" on December 17th and so the bull season doesn't seem to be done just yet. We mention bitcoin because it can be a indication on the direction that Steem will follow. But sadly there's not been a lot of movement from our own token this bullrun, but what this means is that Steem itself is still wide open price wise for the smart and smaller investors👍. Last night I went to sleep under the usual late hour, this was mostly due to having work early in the morning, but also being tired from fighting the flu that is trying to re-surface. When I did try to sleep there was some difficulty, this was fault of the cold disturbing me, but also maybe a busy mind. I woke-up 20 minutes to my scheduled alarm, not sure why but a better result than a couple of hours early, it could of been because my throat was hurting. Nothing to do with our "cat alarm clock" who didn't spend the night indoors again being now 2 days without him, but he still makes quick visits to our garden. Most mornings I'm resting past the alarm, sometimes I'm not going to sleep early enough, while other times the cold temperature is making getting out of bed a struggle. For the weather this morning it was dark, the sky was mostly clear, the sun was yet to fully rise, temperature wise it was cold and I think I got up just before the heating realised it was that cold and came on. It was a early start for me not by choice but because I had to be in work very soon, and so like this there was no time for chores or anything else. I done what I could, and with my free time over I skipped breakfast, got my bag set for work, I changed and left. On the way to work I took some glass bottles and some plastics to dispose, it was no doubt cold but not like previous mornings, traffic was very busy. When I got to work the superior who was in was very quick to tell me how it wasn't as cold this morning like I already mentioned. I was looking forward to trying out my timing for the 3 main tasks of these early morning shifts. When I got started on the first task things started to go wrong but not my fault, the superior mentioned needing to do some fire alarm tests and from previous experiences this often messes up the system enabling me to work. Well that's exactly what happened and to no surprise the superior messed up after and couldn't fully reset the alarm system. This caused me a big delay on getting the first of the 3 tasks done. And unfortunately due to a system failure on our end the 2nd task contained part of what should of been done yesterday and so almost giving me twice as much to do. Thankfully the alarms stopped and part 1 of the 3 tasks was less than usual so I managed to get that out of the way quickly to tackle task 2, which because of some more disturbances and the late start I found myself behind on my timing. This got me a little worried as I told the superior that task 2 even with it being about double shouldn't be a problem, but if he was going to complain about it and due to the treatment I received at work lately I was fully prepared to blame him with the fire alarm nonsense, which wouldn't of been a lie. I put the accelerator on when it came to task 2 and still finished it over the time I set myself. Infact I went over by a lot, again this was not my fault. Once that was done I told the superior not once, or twice but 3 times to set part 3 but he seemed more distracted with he's mobile😡. Which reminds me 3 times today I hinted at superiors to hurry up because that is what they had done to me when I was in charge of the extra work, but I don't think they got the hint that I was playing them back at their own game. Perhaps..and I'm tempted..to write a complaint note about "superiors" taking too long with certain tasks, this is to see how they like some of their own medicine. Of course there was all manner of excuses from them today, from being too old, not knowing what day it is... and spilling their coke on the desk.... Seriously but if I'm a little slower because I'm unwell and the guy I was working with was old enough to be retired 5 years ago YET I'm the one in the wrong. Regardless all tasks were completed right on time even with all the nonsense and delays caused by the "superior" this morning, but YET I had to stay longer for this shift "which I didn't actually mind" because of the issues the superior caused from the fire alarm test in the first place. I was just about to leave when another superior had to annoy me with her sly comment, she asked if I had done overtime today? I said yes and so she asked what extra task had I done? This might seem like a reasonable question but what she is getting at here is if I'm not doing my job plus the job of at least 2 other people then I'm essentially there doing nothing. This is such a horrible view and I find it very negative. I started to feel tired from this early morning shift but by then and thankfully it soon came round for me to escape work😁. On the way home the sun had come out making the temperature a little more bearable. Once I got home I had to get started with some chores before meeting with friends online later. I wasn't too surprised that I managed this without needing to nap, I was happy that my routine for these shifts seem to be improving. I continued with doing a few more things until it was time to meet online with friends. They all showed up but late, some were having dinner while others were getting in from work. Due to being late and the structure of things not much progress was made. For the quick work-outs 51 days since my last one but they are going to have to wait longer because of what I think is the flu trying to take over again. Lastly I started to prepare dinner, I check-in with my father, then I settled for the night. On Steemit.com 📊 the Steemit Learning Challenge Season 22 Week 4 is underway this is a opportunity for users to learn and earn STEEM. TRX wallets on Steemit.com have been removed by the Steemit Developers a long with any funds. This was part of the condenser project to fix all the wrong display numbers from rewards. I think removing the TRX wallet is downscaling the usefulness of the SteemitWallet and the Steem token as a whole. You can recover any funds by creating a new tron account with TronLink and then adding the Steem generated TRX account to that newly created account. I still think we should of kept the TRX wallet functional if you agree on keeping the TRXwallet you can write to them here asking for it's return TRXWallet. Reminder: There as been promises of war arising everywhere, a war in this day and age will be devastating, so we must continue to work on remaining at peace, and not to fight in wars that don't belong to us.
