Good day Steemian and welcome, this is more than just a price update on the Steem cryptocurrency for 14/7/2025, under the hood it's been a 8 year project.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content, plus I have attended many Steem official events and represented Steem at smaller events.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price and recent Steemit changes for over 8 years.

There as never been a single power down made on this account since that time "8 years", our mission is to retain and rise the price of Steem for the benefit of us all. We do this by not only holding STEEM but by also buying into STEEM from time to time. All this rises the price of STEEM meaning your investment goes up in value and so does your earned rewards.

I'm sure we all want a better future for Steem and so casting your upvote here keeps Steem locked to raise it's value for us all plus we will try and use some of that Steem to buy even more. Most of the players in the crypto sphere are only here for some quick and often times shady profits, this is before they decide to just get up and disappear. But we have been here for the long run and would like to see Steem remain a strong and reliable token.

July 2025- Hello supporters of Steem, ever heard of the smell test? I'm not talking about the one used in the morning for smelling if the milk as not gone sour. It's often said that our sense of smell is a greatly under appreciated human skill that is being forgotten. But reality is if we pay close attention it can still provide us with a lot of sensory information. In the medical world our ability to smell can be a warning sign for possible long-term conditions arising. Let's take Alzheimer’s for example, a brain disorder that eventually destroys our memory and thinking skills. It's been said that losing one's sense of smell could be an early indicator of Alzheimer’s and this is long before any of the usual conventional symptoms are noticed. It's interesting to think most people these days have their vision and hearing tested done throughout their lives but not so much a smell test which is exceedingly rare to hear about. A team at the Rockefeller University some years back believed they had been able to develop a type of smell test that rids of any inaccuracies for identifying diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Apparently they created something called a white smell... This works by mixing different odours together to make something completely unfamiliar, then asking patients to identify these white smells with some overlapping ingredients. In the end it doesn’t matter if a person can’t identify a single smell using words that match. So what's the point is what your probably asking yourself? How would this test even work? Well apparently the point is to recognise problems around the smell, which I think means just trying to smell anything at all. I'm of course still sceptical but conducted clinical trials at the Rockefeller University Hospital and the Taichung Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan have both seen that such smell tests have shown to be more accurate than conventional smell tests. I guess if I had my yearly smell test I might be able to judge more between such methods, but because like most people I have not considered such tests and so I wouldn't know. Still it's fascinating to think that in future we might see a growing trend in smell tests to start treatments for know corelated "smell effecting" diseases earlier.
