Learn How To Code For Free, Codecademy || The Opportunities Available With Steemit Development And Free Education
So I'm in the process of getting set up with CodeFellows for August courses, and part of their preparation package is to do the HTML and CSS courses on Codecademy
The Internet is a fantastic place
This is a great course.
I actually recommend this for anyone blogging here on Steemit because the HTML stuff alone with help you so much in formatting your blog, and there are JAVA courses on Khan Academy which I'll be taking after Codecademy that should help me to actually develop back end applications for Steemit, which is something I'd really like to do.
And this is all free.
Permissionless development
One of the best features of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency generally is its focus on open-source and open development.
Just think about it.
- Learn coding for free.
- Develop Steemit applications without permission using open source code.
- Post app on your Steemit blog and make tons of money.
All of this can be done with no material cost (just time), nobody can tell you not to do it, and nobody can fire you or cut off your funding and your position cannot be outsourced.
This is truly a completely different economy.
Do it yourself
It's easy to talk about this stuff.
But if you don't know anything (or very little) about code, actually going through these courses will enlighten you and provide you with small revelations about the larger technological picture.
You might even begin to see how you can play a part in making Steemit a better and more interesting platform to spend time with. And with free access to the knowledge of how to develop those improvements, you'll be able to actualize your ideas and then test them in the market by releasing them for free -- and then be compensated by the curation community.

Personally I am an amateur developer. I have learned all alone since I was 8 years old. I started with HTML, then the MircScript (at the time), PHP / MYSQL then I now look at Javascript. Everything evolves so fast in programming. Right now I code a project for Steemit.
I'll definitely be checking out the html courses. My blog is in need of a little design! Thanks for bringing this to my attention:)

Your point of view are great. I am interesting in developing some apps too and I am supporter of open source. Also Udemy courses could be good, they have discount prices and free courses. In which code language you work?

Indeed! I'm about 3 chapters in (I think). The interface is fantastic. It's really helping me learn this stuff in a way that works for someone like me (aka: dumb).
