Due to induction of Litepay, a payment system that will allow businesses to accept Litecoin, users can spend it where debit cards are accepted, Litecoin thrusts cryptocurrency into the mainstream limelight.

I agree on your point but that’s not the only reason LTC price is shooting up. Here are few other reasons as well.

It should be out by the end of the month which is earlier than originally scheduled.

February 26th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The #Litecoin ( #LTC) price is going mad right now as there is a pending fork on Sunday #Litecoin Cash ( #LCH) as people are buying up for their freebies; massive dump soon.
#litepay are using this as a marketing propaganda, the price isn't going up because of them
Personally I will be selling LTC as soon as the snapshot from the fork happens and the price plummets from all those panicking.
I was thinking the same thing. I feel like the rise is more due to the impending fork. I still haven't decided what I am going to do. I don't really feel like moving my LC to a new wallet just so I can give the fork the private address of my old wallet. It just feels shady to me. -@bozz
Same mechanism as BCH and BTG, if you've got access to the private key (and not in the exchanges)...
Sweep your wallet to a new wallet.dat immediately after the fork snapshot, then import the private key from the now empty wallet into LCC.
Once it's snapshotted, you don't need an active balance and there's zero risks of losing your LTC. Only downside is a very small transaction fee for sending your balance between wallets.
