30 day challenge, being grateful - Day three - Steemit
The content
"I have known adventures, seen places you people will never see, I've been Offworld and back...frontiers! I've stood on the back deck of a blinker bound for the Plutition Camps with sweat in my eyes watching the stars fight on the shoulder of Orion. I've felt wind in my hair, riding test boats off the black galaxies and seen an attack fleet burn like a match and disappear. I've seen it...felt it!"
If you have a minute (well 1 minute and 11 seconds to be precise) please watch this you tube snippet. There is just so much amazing content here on Steemit and rutger hauer just sums it up better than I could possibly do.
The only difference is that everything will be stored forever on the blockchain!
The people
I have met some amazing people here over the last few months and have never ceased to be amazed by the quiet courage that people have here, almost on a daily basis someone will share a part of their life without any fanfare and I will be amazed at what they have achieved, overcome and gone through. Steemit really is a unique and amazing place to be part off.
The money
You might think that I jest, how many of us are going to give up our day jobs with our Steemit income? Hands Up, anyone......but I do honestly think that STEEM is a good long term investment. My STEEM today may only be worth the dollar mark.
What will that be worth in a year, in five years in ten years?
Maybe nothing! But then again it may have increased 100%, 500% or maybe even a 1000% and if it does, I do not want that sense of disappointment that I have for not investing in Bitcoin all those years ago when I had first heard about it. My hard earned $200 may be $200K and in ten years time that will be a nice little nest egg.
I don't know what the future will bring, but the potential benefits far outweigh any time that I spend on Steemit and besides I love this place, I may not be on it as obsessively as I was a few months ago, but nothing beats sitting down in the evening with a nice cup of tea and catch up on on my Steemit content - can life get any better.
Me too :)
@naquoya my friend, thanks for stopping by, I hope that you are having a brilliant time in Spain 😊
Thank you for posting @scottish01.
Lovely topic and well written post.....regarding the topic of gratitude.
We call it the gratitude gauge......asking where is that gratitude gauge...^_^
Remembering the source.
Wishing you and yours all the best.....Cheers.
NB Very kind of you to reSteem bleujay's post....thank you.
i think that we are all lucky to be here on this Earth for our allotted time, sometimes as you say, we forget the source (whatever that belief may be, we are all different)
But sometimes it is nice just to be thankful for this opportunity of Life :-)
Yes Steemit is truly amazing... for me it like playing a game... where we can all win
I totally agree, just keep going to get those wins :-)
