I need any help to stop @grumpycat hurting innocent people.
We have to show that Steemit is bigger than any bully who is trying to impose his own rules by using his high SP on innocent people.
The post below is the summary of the situation : https://steemit.com/life/@firedream/stop-the-grumpycat
Thank you for any help to stop the actions of @grumpycat.
Excellent, thanks so much for adding this - a very notable point. When people say "#1 in transactions," how are you measuring this? Speed? Security? Volume?
This is measured in volume. There are more transactions for Steem than any other and Ethereum is at currently at #2. I think this should have a positive effect on the price.
Ok got it. That's really interesting and I guess it makes sense, considering the structure of STEEM and the fact that it's being used for its intended function all the time. I wonder what percentage of transactions of other currencies are speculative trading vs actual purchases.
Great post @saradear :) It takes me back to when I first started posting here. Keep up the good work, I really like your writing, totally personable. The more you learn about steemit post it here too! It continues to be a bit mysterious to me as well at times, the more knowledge we spread the better.
Cheers!
I agree – she's a wonderful writer. • @saradear and I joined right around the same time, found each other right away and both posted similarly about our first week. It's been a lot to take in and I've found myself spinning. I'm hoping I'll eventually find some kind of equilibrium – does it get better? Or is the rabbit-hole simply too deep?
Thank you @zipplyo! Ha yes I think the rabbit-hole is just super deep. I feel like you and the other steemians I connected with this week are like in my "generation." The camaraderie is really encouraging :)
@heiditravels thank you so much! I really appreciate the encouraging feedback and you taking the time to read this. I was worried about missing the mark of some of this or providing incorrect information because its all so dense to a laymen. But.. whatever! If it's still mysterious to you at times, then perhaps its a longer learning experience than a couple of weeks down the rabbit hole. Thanks :)
I appreciate that we both undertook to share our learnings in relative real-time. I also love how we've, as you said, touched on different parts of the newbie experience. Perhaps that's demonstrative of how blockchain works – we've filled in each other's gaps (at least to some degree.) And, I might add, both in beautiful ways. You're a lovely writer – both soft and intelligent. A nice change from the abundance of tech-talk so prevalent on here.
Visually, I've been rather disappointed by the majority of what I see. I think that's likely due to the fact that Steemit was built and adopted early by left-brained folks. I aim to add a bit of visual appeal, sprinkled creatively throughout – however, whenever and wherever I'm able.
Thank you for the acknowledgment. I'm still trying to figure out how one sees such mentions without just happening upon them. Yet another difference b/w here and that-place-of-faces-that-shall-not-be-named – no active notifications! Though I do appreciate how easy it is to review comments and replies.
Thank you so much!!! So much gratitude for your kind words of encouragement. Yes I appreciated our complementary "hangover" posts (loved that title, by the way), because I feel I've officially overcome the newbie learning curve here after reading your post. It's nice to hear/read others' perspectives.
Ha yes I think you are right on the majority of left-brain steemians... in come the right-brainers!! What an exciting way to share your photographs.
Yeah I noticed that writing the @ symbol doesn't really do anything, doesn't call upon users. Glad you stopped by anyway though, and thanks for reading.
Glad to be on the journey with you as well and thanks for that amazing picture. Much peace :)
Nice to know I'm in good company. • ps – I resteemed this post, because it deserves to be seen by more eyeballs. ;) My voting power is crap at the moment, but I'll also upvote it once I've regenerated a bit.
Excellent post, wish I had seen it sooner :)

@cheetah
Steem is now #1 in transactions out of all altcoins on the blockchain.

Oh mygosh thank you so much! And thank you for the thoughtful voting, I admire your level of strategy and care with that. Very much appreciated.
Really good read @saradear keep up the good work!
