The 33-year-old will be aiming to fire Portugal past Uruguay tonight and into the knockout stages of the World Cup.
He will do so, however, with his Real Madrid future very much still in the spotlight.

And Spanish newspaper AS say Ronaldo has told Los Blancos he wants to leave, confiding his intentions to those in his inner circle.

Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved all there is to achieve during his nine years at the Bernabeu, after quitting United back in the summer of 2009.
But Express Sport understands the veteran has made an Old Trafford return his No 1 priority.

Ronaldo has always felt there is unfishinished business for him at United, regularly flirting with a return in the years since his departure.

His mother, Dolores Aviero, has even taken the unorthodox step of admitting she would prefer her son to rejoin United than go to PSG.

Former Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello has even claimed: “Cristiano Ronaldo's future with Real Madrid?

“Cristiano wants to return to Manchester United alongside Mourinho.
“I think he will eventually leave Madrid to go back to England. When? This I don't know.”

AS say the Portugal international is angry at Real for eyeing a move for PSG forward Neymar.

Neymar is their top transfer target but Ronaldo is unwilling to share the spotlight with the Brazilian.

United are also known to have a strong interest in Gareth Bale.

And Ronaldo’s best chances of securing a return may boil down to what happens to his Real team-mate.
