RE: Where Has Steemit Gone? How Can We Make Steemit Great Again?

in #steemit6 years ago

I am an Anti-BOT kind of guy and I wish there was an easy solution but I'm also not a Dev or a tech junkie, so I wouldn't know how to look for an answer. I hope someone figures it out soon before it is too late. Thanks for this post - maybe you will receive some constructive engagement.

Sort:

lol speaking of bots! - some bot just down voted your comment!!

And it was a good comment too - as it expresses many peoples point of focus.
I know a bit in programming but by knowing what I do I can say - I know nothing.

You need alot of knowledge and expertise to design projects of this sort unless there is an easy to use platform making developmental creations possible & more importantly EASY!

Comes with the territory... the flagging-wars territory which is full of hasswipes! Flagged for no good reason, but not by some Bot... someone hiding behind a Bot!

is it possible to flag bots who do this?

Flagging wars seems right!

You can flag bots, but what is the point. A flagging war will cost you more than it is worth. In my case, I pissed up someone's tree (no pun)... likely @Beeniesanders (berniesanders) who runs @abusereports with @nextgencrypto. He (they) not only down-voted one of my comments, but experienced an attack on 18 separate posts and comments, eliminating any rewards I had earned. I either made this thin-skinned dick-head of a weazel mad because I mentioned I was an "Anti-Bot kind of guy" or because I made a joke about a "Bullshit Post" of his (his words and label, not mine) that earns big money. Or I could have caused him to poop his pants when I re-steemed a @jerrybanfield post (for the comments exposure). Nevertheless, it is turds like this that will cause Steemit to falter, and possibly even fail eventually. Anyone who thinks that they can control free speech through downvoting censorship will not be invited to my party, which I will take elsewhere. This platform is no longer considered by me (as do many others) to be "decentralized" with the likes of downvoting abuses that are happening to many accounts. I have reported this abuse but only time will tell if any remedy will be employed. Meanwhile, @abuse reports continues its own plunder of the rewards pool. How hypocritical is that?

Yeah that is a form of censorship right there.

I had once commented on a whale's post - it was for sponsoring & supporting newcomers to steemit.

I was new so I asked a question - how do I enter my account into this sponsorship program they are having for newbies like me so we can receive some boosting support from them.
I included a link to my introduction post and they down voted me lowering my rank and making my question disappear.

  • It was highly uncalled for.

I liked the idea of steemit; a blockchained blogging platform - because its supposed to be censorship resistant - BUT IT SEEMS THATS NOT REALLY THE CASE - now is it?

Absolutely. As I type this, I am constructing my "EXiT" post explaining who, what, why... and all that jazz. I've seen enough and I will not stick around for the added BS. I love the Steemit concept, but with all the nefarious characters lurking about, there is no such thing as having your cake and eating it too! Stay tuned... it's coming. For a prelude, check out my Pot Calling the Kettle Black post from 11 days ago. It is likely the one that lit the fuse for my destruction. You WILL feel the burn inside you. Thanks for commenting!
