poem
Hey Soldier
Hey soldier
I am ashamed
ashamed for your decision
to join a club of murderers
...or what do you think
you will learn and exercise there?
-Planting flowers it is not.
Hey soldier
I am scared
scared of your mass-movement
tarnished your responsibility
in a common uniform
in a community of underdogs
prepared to follow orders.
What do you think
you will learn to do there?
-Bringing peace and freedom it is not.
Hey soldier
are you aware
aware of the fact
to serve a bunch of killers
who create wars for their own goods,
who sit in their prosperities
while you crawl and eat the mud
prepared to take lives
where should be friendship and love.
How could they replace your compassion
with the fascination for weapons
and poison you with prejudice and hate?
When did you forget
that humans are humans everywhere?
Hey soldier
I am petrified
petrified by your mission
of death and destruction.
What do you think
I will feel for your damages
after you fulfilled the orders of devils,
of bringing suffering, despair and death?
Do you really think
I will come with flowers
and absolution to your grave?
Hey soldier
you had the choice
to live for pacifism.
to rise your mind over their games,
to stand against the real enemies
-those corrupting the system
creating a world of injustice, poverty and harm.
Hey soldier
you had the choice
to be a warrior of truth and peace
armed with civil-disobedience,
non-violence and unconditional love
...uniformed as a feeling being... .
