I'm trying to get into Steemit Mining,"but I'm an absolute novice"

So I'm new to steemit and everything , so i started clicking around the site. and i came across steemit.io. I basically read thru the page and seen steemit mining. and after the rise in price, I'm thinking this would be a great opportunity to start real altcoin mining. I've tried the cloud mining thing. .. and to be honest the return are BS most of the time and 99% of them are scams. Also i was thinking since steemit is so new on the scene the mining competition might be at its minimum. Lastly , steemit.io really doesn't have any info about mining service being offered.

If anyone has any info please reply, also WE would love to hear everyone's thought as well!!!
