RE: What Would @wang Do? Help #ProjectNewbie Reach Out To New Users

I think the promotional channel may always have a bit of that feeling. Hang out at #steemprentice for kicks. That's where the joy is. I just started hanging out there and it's all about helping each other with feedback. It's the (tear forming) community I came here to find.

Remember me when you're a dolphin! It's been awesome watching you develop your Steemit style.

And that is a good point that including links to your own blog can be done helpfully. It's the intention that comes across, I believe.

Yes! Community is my #1 priority. Working from home and budgeting with a one-car household has it's challenges on my ability to socialize. That's why I turn to the internet. It's the one thing that keeps me sane, especially when we've moved a lot. My friends go with me!

I had become such a recluse that I didn't even give close friends my new phone number. I didn't like the idea of feeling put upon to answer the phone! I lost my faith in strangers after a disappointing craigslist gig. I worked for an old lady who started to lose her rationality and began to increasingly turn on me in inexplicable ways. It was psychologically jarring. For a full year I wanted to kick the walkers out of the hands of the elderly at the grocery store. Once I started wanting to trust strangers again, Steemit was perfect. I liked that I was encouraged to show myself and be human. There's a Steemit type and it's simply good to be among so many like minds!
