Imperial Palace or Forbidden City of Beijing's historical landmarks. The palace is located in the heart of the city, and to the north of Tiananmen Square. Classified by UNESCO as a global cultural heritage. It is one of the most important tourist places in China.
Imperial Palace is located in downtown Beijing. The emperors' residence was from the Ming Dynasty and then Qing. It is famous for its "Forbidden City". Its construction took 14 years (1406-1420 AD). It is the largest collection of ancient palaces preserved in China.
The Imperial Palace has about one million pieces of rare artifacts. Today it is a comprehensive museum that combines ancient architectural arts, imperial monuments and various ancient arts.
