My 38 Day Experience on Steemit
I think AVI LSD sums it up well in this video that I retrieved from YouTube this morning. https:// youtu.be/ gGY9Veer3uI. To paraphrase: Steemit is for social media marketers, long haulers, those willing to go FULL OUT, GO HAM.
- make two posts a day
- interact with50 people every day
- expect no money for the first 50-100 quality posts
- include picutyres
- include videos
- have nicely fomatted posts
- use a watermark
- verified use
- videos
- interact with a lot of people n Steemit Chat
- promote Steemit off platform
- befriend a couple of whales
Steemit has been too challenging for me to post and comment daily to the degree that I planned. I read quite a bit on Steemit, but 9 times out of 10, I didn't have anything constructive to say. My overall impression is that Steemit consumed more time than it was worth for me. For me Steemit has not been a source of income or significant information. It has been 5 weeks and I have no social media following, so no surprise there.
The interactions that I have had have been pleasant. I am not closing my account; I plan to keep my toe in the water. I want to collect Steem (in the form of Sttem Power), upvote content that appeals to me, share whatever I feel like, and spend 15-60 minutes on the site, on the days I visit. If nothing else this will be an exeries in discipline for me. That's not a bad thing.

As of yesterday: Steem 0.222, Steem Power 11.928, and Steem Backed Dollars 7.___. Then I shifted some things around: first Steem Backed Dollars were moved to Steem, then all Steem tokens were moved to Steem Power.

- Steem Backed Dollars 0.000
steemvoter doesn't work for me, technically, from my laptop and I can't even log into steemit or attempt to log into steemvoter from my phone. No worries. I guess I'll continue not to use Steemvoter. lol

AskSteem is a good idea but the search results are ordered neither by posting date or number of upvotes. No worries. Google search and its advanced options can be used. There are wokarounds galore. :)
