I would say, do more research before You jump into it. I mean, steemit is fascinating place. To discover, explore, new ways of using steem, all the projects going on. I got ideas too, but didn't know all the rules and got burned. Mayby one of new people mistakes is getting discouraged if not succeed at first or as quick. Its more like evolution, You can't avoid all the mistakes, in fact, You need them to adjust and evolve, so You NEED to jump in and learn as You go, but at the same time, You can avoid some by researching, asking questions at communities chats. Many communities here got chats channels on discordapp.com. Get a mentor, get a role model, and get a good "why" and a good main motto, for example: "secret to living is giving".
