8. Steem Price Update
Hey, the Steem Backed Dollar price is still looking pretty good, and we are fast approaching the top 1,000 most visited website milestone to boot... all great news for ole Steemit!
Yeah it's pushing forward very nicely. I would still be mega happy with Steemit if Steem Dollar goes back down to 1 dollar again. To create a more stable platform. This service still provides 10X more value than any other platform! Especially when the sign ups go faster we will see tons of people start using this platform.
Still a bit confusing system for a new user which may make them stop use the platform. Needs to become a bit easier to get started maybe with some better interactive engaging video guides. But I guess the developers of this platform is so busy working on bigger projects for now.

I feel ya on that, and I think in a way that a free market is better when it comes to the Steem Backed Dollar, because if people are willing to pay that much for it... then so be it.
Things have leveled off again and are heading toward bigger numbers. Great to see. There are several platforms advertising like Steemit coming on line in the next 90 days. There needs to be a concerted push to keep members happy and involved or there will be some challenges on top of the usual ones of trying to grow a business. These reports are helpful to show us where we are and how we are doing. Thanks for providing them.

You can do your research and look at a platform called Tsu and how they were not able to sustain themselves. Lots to learn from them.
Can you share more info about those new platforms?
Minds is one and OnG Social is another. There are at least 4 others coming within the nest 90 days.
I read some mainstream publications and even Yahoo Finance featuring Steem as an alternative to bitcoin. Check this link : The First Mainstream Article of 2018 Positively Featuring Steemit and the STEEM Cryptocurrency!!
Is it also possible to know the distribution of voting power the Steemit users have as well as the distribution of reputation number ?
Thanks once again for the daily stats. Engagement-wise, it looks like Steemit has stalled but that's normal in a growth curve.
Stalled? Haha it's growing like crazy! But it's been going down just a bit in engagement the last week since the price has gone down. It slows down the amount that people invest. Just as a regular economy. It does look very good in the future as you can see the amount of comment posts per day.
Will be exciting to see the growth curve if someone with influence gives attention to Steemit. Or if the media will do it finally. But that will probably need the price of STEEM to at least rise to $100 before they start paying attention. That will probably 10X the traffic very fast. Maybe it will happen at the end of the year. Or in 2019 if 2018 will be slow for Steemit!
