So you now have 10 x 100% power-up super powered votes rather than 40 x worth tuppence ? if you SUDDENLY stop voting like the Zombie Apocalypse happened, everyone stops earning and we all grind to a FULL STOP. It may seem counter-intuitive but stop and just think about that last paragraph.. you know I'm right ! Your voting power will still be worthy even after your first 10 UPVOTES and furthermore it will regenerate like an axolotls legs.

Hardfork19 was supposed to be a good thing. (It's GREAT) so act like nothing's happened and get on with excellent curating. I mean upvoting the content you think deserves it and we'll all be happy bunnies again by next week

Thank God I'm not the only one. I still upvote like any other day, but today it seems everyone is hiding their upvotes. I hope it's temporary.
I'm sure it will pass. by next week everyone will have forgotten about hf19 and after a bit of navel gazing at how rubbish their upcoming rewards look, the taps will run on upvotes again and we can all be motivated to put on our best red shoes and dance the blues (not sure where the Bowie quote came from there)

what you are saying is so true, it seems that many are not voting anymore... I still vote as much as I did before (often with a little less percentage of voting power, but the overall power increased anyway so my votes still have an effect)

There is so much good content on this site people don't even look at.
But as soon as a post is about Steemit itself everyone goes crazy voting for it because it always works. So many people are just hunting here and not enjoying what is offered
yeah posts about steemit have an intrinsic value.. mirror mirror on the wall but if it was all just about steemit it would be insanely boring after a couple of hours. content is king ! and upvotes are the people

It's been an interesting couple of days watching the results of the hard fork.
Those of us working hard to climb this tree that is Steemit have had a well needed boost.
I do wonder though if the potential for bigger payouts is now going to attract the vapid and moronic content you see in spades on YouTube and Facebook that I have always tried to avoid.
I guess we' ll soon see.

Not so quite. Because when you go to bed only 10 (full power) votes will regenerate. It is still 20% of your power. So if you spend today 27 votes and tomorrow 35 votes and so on... but keep regenerate 10 (because 10 votes = 20% of voting power) after few days you will end up only with those 10 regenerated votes.
good point and thanks for your clarification.. You're a bit sharper on the math than I, but you still see my point ! it all grinds to a halt if people retract voting. All the minnows votes are worth (significantly) more so just keep upvoting ;)
I do see your point and I was afraid this will happen. It was supposed to be good for everyone, but as long as we (small fishes) don't have the choice of how much power we want to vote with, because we do not have the slider yet, we are very limited. We are stuck with 100% votes that run out very fast and the more we vote, the weaker they get. You can spend all your power on 50 full strength votes and tomorrow you will still have only 10 back.
unless you run your account through a phone app and then you do ! apparently, although that might be garbage information that I just read on a post and didn't actually try yet.. hearsay, or is it readsay ?

i read something on here earlier.. I think it was steemit on an iphone gives you the slider ? you may have to do some research on that
I don't own an iphone, so it doesn't matter anyway ;)
