I like the question you ask about " how can any content- creation platform out there beat steemit/steemit....?" I dont think they can only if they will have to copy the platform. But even if they try to copy steemit/steem like the motto of 7UP ( the difference will be clear). You can try to be like someone but can you actually be like that person? Just like someone trying to be like you.......(laughing). Though the person will try but you can only be. When i see people put things on facebook now, really i feel sorry for them especially when its something that is intellectual in nature. I feel I wish this can put this on steemit/steem.
What is happening on this blockchain is really mind blowing because you just find out the world is filled with great mind.
Steemit/steem has created a reputation for itself and it will take time before any other platform ca beat it. Just facebook when it came.
Now the good thing about steemit is that their is room for constant improvement and upgrade. Thanks to all kinds of project like #steemgig, #untalented, #utopia-oi, #busy etc. Just to mentioned few. THE MOON SHOULD BE READY FOR US BECAUSE WE ARE COMING WITH FULL FORCE.

I am still owing your awesome comments on my previous post but i will get to them. I am slower these days cos of energy levels and mood but i will be there. The beauty of steemit is the blockchain it is on. the capacitiy of this blockchain and its speed, its feelessness etc is where no other copy can beat it. Anther thing is ease of use. For many of these other upcoming social interfaces, they may have good proposal but i tell you, just to get on them for the several i have seen, you ill have to download an entire blockchain and gosh this is a hassle, slows your PC and sucks out all your internet and pc resources cos of this too, there is no google ranking which is steemit's secret weapon. Soon there will be a steemit post answering any topic or question organically in the search engines and this is the height of genuis and where steemit is just bound to go mainstream. if you have been on the internet for long, you will understand better, till date insurance companies still pay 50 dollars per click for ads that may not bring a customer. just a click and they lose 50 dollars. and their sole aim is to appear on the first page of google. A simple steemit blog can accomplish this without much effort. this is the aspect of a steemit blog that many miss out on as the goald becomes to please just the steemit audience and get blinded to other facets of steemit beauty. There are ton of things i can say but i will stop, so we can go. Let's go
