🚨 Exhausted Man Beats OpenAI’s Coding Agent in World Coding Championship.
In a big moment for humans everywhere, one man managed to beat OpenAI’s powerful AI coding agent at the 𝘈𝘵𝘊𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘳 Finals in Tokyo.
The event brought together 31 of the world’s best programmers for a grueling 10-hour challenge.
The task involved controlling robots across a grid in the most efficient way possible.
Only one person outscored the AI. His name is Przemysław “Psyho” Dębiak and he’s a former OpenAI researcher.
While the AI agent ran non-stop and barely made mistakes, Psyho found clever patterns the AI completely missed.
That human touch gave him the edge, and he ended up beating the AI by about 9.5 percent.
After the win, Psyho didn’t brag. He just said, “𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘥 (𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸).”
Even OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman gave him a shoutout, praising the victory.
It’s a reminder that while AI is incredibly advanced, human creativity and intuition still count for something.
