How do i de-register my account from steemit

in #steemit8 years ago

I am sick of this shit happening here on this platform....Most people of which i am one, are not "writers", and i was drawn to this site as it was punted to me as the next "face ache", but only better...You might receive some sort of compensation in some sort of crypto currency [don't give a shit about that] ..and as Larkin pointed out...so if you had nothing to start off with and you get "compensated", you have nothing to lose....Great said i...i will join then...Well i have posted some things...As i alluded to above, i am not a writer, NOR am i an aspiring writer....when and only when i have a thought or an OPINION of my own that i wish to express in my OWN words..{not to be subjected to critique by an "english grammer teacher]on any subject matter, i would like the freedom to do so....I posted an article in it's entirety from some one known as KateofGaia....

I was told that the article was down voted for i did not say/ comment ANYTHING about that writers words...and then in a round about way i am accused of of being a plagiarist...for not having PERMISSION from the author....well i say fuck that bastard for saying that...don't like the words i am using?...feeling offended?...well get over it...KateofGaia's works are freely available and people are encouraged to share EVERY WHERE....

But seeing as we have the post police going about and down voting some one's post because it is not their OWN works....i don't need that shit in my life...I don't have a need to be chastised for what i post...if you don't like it...don't refer to it..just fuck off into the sunset looking for that which will please you...

Now please do me the favour and close my damn account....i don't need shit like this in my life...

I just need to know how to close it..FOREVER...

I dont think accounts can be closed, deactivated. The blockchain stores info permanently. I'm sorry this happened. Many new users feel the same. The problem is that Steemit is not like facebook or twitter where sharing content is encouraged. They DO NOT tell people that, rather wait until after and crudely pounce. You would think, they would want to notify and inform, politely and encourage the desired activity, guessing thats not what you got.
Isn't it odd an organization solicits new users from sharing platforms and then does this. Very odd.
You could just leave. I get that. Or you could tell this story. Now that would be original content. Nothing they can do about that. New users migrating from sharing platforms need to hear your story.

So you're pissed because you couldn't make money from other people's work?

@telos Did you read the post at all?....i don't have a fucking clue how this shit works[crypto currency] and i came to this site, as it was being punted as a "meeting place" that would replace face ache....stick your fucking "funny money" where the sun don't shine...that might be your reason for being here, but is is not mine...so go ahead and do what people like you, LIKE to do..down vote the shit out of my post...all i want is a way to get the fuck out of here, KNOWING my data is DELETED...so shove the sarcasm up your blowhole...

Lol. Ok man, whatever... I've never downvoted anyone but at least I did yhe bare minimum research before joining. Your bad attitude will always be part of the blockchain, that's just how it works. But you can probably take some solace in the fact that no one cares about the info you posted.

@telos Well now you have the perfect reason to help me getting myself removed from here...My BAD attitude+ you could add the foul language being used....complain to whom ever it is that owns this site that you feel offended by my remarks....maybe they have some kind of rule that forbids that...what pisses me off is that they do not give you nor anyone else some sort of way to leave...an escape clause...so what happened to freedom of association ....you and every one like me is now stuck with something they might not like..then what...see how you like it when rules are changed and it might effect you...sorry wanker, your stuck with us till death....My bad attitude was/is a direct result of what this post https://steemit.com/steemit/@steemship/open-letter-to-ned-and-dan-you-badly-need-a-communications-community-content-expert-and-i-hereby-nominate-stellabelle-or#@no-mercy/re-mammasitta-re-ballinconscious-re-steemship-open-letter-to-ned-and-dan-you-badly-need-a-communications-community-content-expert-and-i-hereby-nominate-stellabelle-or-20160911t123557223z Perhaps you should read it, then read "between" the lines....

IF i were to take solace in the fact that no one cares about what i post...why did you "respond" then?....And please tell me you found in your minimum research that you did, an escape clause that could be used...IF YOU SO WISH TO DO...did you?....or were you only thinking about the millions you could make posting here....?...

Yes. In Steemit right now everybody is being considered a plagiarist until they can prove otherwise.
You are in a blockchain, so your accounts, all these comments and everything that you have written would be registered forever.....
The best way to lock your account is change your password and lose...

I've never been accused of plagiarism...

It is just matter of time... For example somebody could ask if you own the youtube channel to play that video, or has the permission from the owner. This apply to images, videos, content, etc.

So why can't the people that built this blockchain thing , not also delete your info when asked to do so....
AND most importantly, WHY the hell was this condition of never being able to leave NOT told to me...reminds me of that song Hotel California....welcome but you may never leave....

In a blockchain is technically impossible to erase data. So, people must think twice before publishing anything here. Actually you only have 24 hours to edit your content before is included in the blockchain. I read that in the next fork this period will be extended to 30 days. But the same situation: you can't erase what is written after that period, never.

@quigua i don't want any thing that i have posted or "published" removed...
I require my details used to sign up with this site removed....they must close my "account"...
That's what i want...

Your account details, like user and password, are part of the information included in the blockchain. Not erasable. Just forget your password and there is not possibility to access that account anymore.
