Steem Park Marks the Start of a Great Expansion
If you live outside of NYC, you should know that what occurred yesterday was something truly fascinating to witness...
It was the unveiling of Steem Park. And it was surreal as f*ck.
@voronoi and @hansikhouse, two architects and active Steemit members,
were able to leverage the power of the Steem for a city project.
They crowdsourced the funds needed to build a Steem branded installation inside Herbert Von King Park, Brooklyn NY -
simply by blogging on Steemit!
And here's a secret…
YOU, Steemit community, also just BUILT A PARK in Brooklyn... thanks to your engagement and support on the project.
Let that sink in…
Steemit users from all walks of life, in all different countries-
just created an actual park in Brooklyn together.
What's even crazier?
@hitheryon collaborated with the park’s conservatory team, who know NOTHING about crypto.
For the first time ever...
an offline community ( completely unfamiliar with crypto)
was introduced to the power of Steem.
This did two giant things for our reputation. It proved that:
Partners and collaborators don't need to fully understand the blockchain to enjoy the benefits of Steem.
And…
It removed the conception that crypto is only associated with anonymity and secrecy.
In other words, everyday people can use Steem to better their everyday lives-
and that can result in beautiful collaborations that bring online and offline communities together!
The Reveal Of A New & Improved Direction
About a month ago I revealed my major plan for a platform collaboration.
And to be honest, I had to make a major tweak...
We’re still building the same platform for the same audience,
But the value we're now offering is ten times better.
You see, with the Steem blockchain,
we have the power to solve real world problems, and totally revolutionize industries.
We can actually change people's lives.
@voronoi and @hansikhouse just proved this.
So I realized I can do so much more. And I have to do more...
I had to think bigger.
So hang tight. I'm thrilled to share the big update this Wednesday.
But guess who else has big ideas?
I met @prufarchy at Steem Park yesterday.
He works in advertising for a major publishing company-
and he also plans to bring disruptive blockchain solutions into his world!
Not to mention that Steemit Community Liason, @Andrarchy, lives right here in New York City too!
In fact, he's the best person to offer strategy and support for local innovators who want to work with Steem.
It’s clear to me that New York will become the birthplace of some of Steem’s greatest expansions.
So why waste a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change the world on small thinking? My aim should be to make as big an impact as possible. And the ever growing NYC Steemit squad feels the same way.
@roychoi @drbaker86 @prufarchy and myself
NYC is doing big things, what are you guys doing with Steem in your City??
Congrats to all those involved at whatever level in this successfully executed project. 😃
The Steemit name is getting out in the real world in many countries now.
I wonder what will be the next big project.
You got an upvote & resteem (sorry not worth much but it all counts).
Steem on beyond the moon, we know it's going further than that.
Good luck to us all.👍
Yea @hitheryon really set a precedent for bridging steem world and real world partnerships.
It was inspiring.
#SteemitPark- where great minds come to play!

@artedellavita ~ that is sooo perfect :) love it!
Thank you!
A lovely day to you⭐️
Thank you kindly @artedellavita :)
Namaste
You guys are making history.. It doesn't seem like a huge deal now, but in the future, this could be remembered as a monumental change within the affect that Steemit has on society.
Keep spreading the love guys :)
totally agree man! I hope other states and countries follow suite.
We can all make an impact , even if its as simple as organizing a meetup or introducing the platform to talented content creators that you know. :)
Definitely surreal to see something new become tangible so quick. How many parks have Facebook communities put up I wonder??
probably none. and thats whats so awesome about our community, right ?!
Without a doubt.
This is so cool! It's really amazing that this project is actually live now. I would love to go for a visit, but NYC is far away from Norway. I hope this park bring in some new and interesting people to the platform :)
Who knows, maybe there's a way you can bring Steem to Norway? Think big :)
I'm sure it is! There are lots of Norwegian people here on Steemit, so we could probably be able to do something cool at one point :)
Compact. This is a fun activity @nickytothenines. @roychoi. @drbaker86. @prufarchy. May i join your dengan. Greeting steem. From @uswatull.
