Help get my 50,000 email subscribers joining Steemit

I run Really American, a Facebook page devoted to defending truth, democracy, social justice and the environment. I have 50k email subscribers, the vast majority of whom are raving Bernie Sanders fans. I built this list over the past 4 months by creating petitions like this onethat I've promoted via Facebook ads.
I'm also an alternative currency geek and I'm the chief architect behind one of the most successful local currencies in the USA. This means that even though I'm brand new to Steemit (joined yesterday), I understand that this platform has the potential to do amazing things in the world. Bcause of this, I want to help promote this platform to my 50k email subscribers to get them involved and...
I need awesome Steemers like you to help create the most powerful message possible to get Bernicrats running to this platform in a giant stampede!
Here's the deal. I want to email my subscribers with articles from you all that convince them that they should join this crypto currency and social media revolution to help continue the Bernicrat revolution in a whole new way that challenges the entire corrupt financial system that has brought us two of the most disliked presidential candidates in the last 10 elections cycles.
Why articles from you instead of me?
I don't feel like I know Steemit well enough yet to really promote it effectively. Also, I don't like writing, but I love promoting things and I'd much rather promote your content than write my own.
Here's how you can help get my 50,000 Bernicrat email subscribers to join Steemit:
1) Up vote this article to make sure it gets plenty of exposure within Steemit to help gather articles that will be powerful and convincing to Bernicrats.
2) Tag any Steemit members that you think would be interested in helping with this in the comments. Please only tag people who you think will really be interested (I don't want any comment spamming going on here).
3) Write an article here on Steemit that explains why a Bernicrae would want to join this crypto currency and social media revolution. Once you write the article, post it in the comments below. The articles that I think will have the best chance of convincing the most people to join his platform will get sent to my list, which will provide a lot of exposure to this activist group to get them on this awesome platform and it will also help the authors of these article to build a bigger following here.

That sounds great! Yeah I'm a voluntaryist and we just got a huge influx of voluntaryist/anarchists/ancaps, but we need more balance here so would be great to get some Bernie supporters here!
It's great to see a successful LETs system implementation. Not quite sure how ELM differs, but hopefully you can integrate cryptocurrencies like Steem Dollars with your local currecency. I've always thought cryptocurrencies could act as a bridge to various local currencies/barter exchange systems that currently exist.
With the ELM system we don't let all accounts have a negative balance, which mosts LETS do allow. That's the main difference. I don't think there will be any way that we can integrate a cryptocurrency with our local currency . They are totally different in concept and function. That said, we could always exchange between our local currency and other cryptocurrencies.
I see interesting. More like an asset-based system than a credit-based system? How is the initial supply distributed? Who controls the database and supply and what if it's corrupted? How do people pay, with mobile phones or is there physical currency? It may not be a pressing issue in a tightnit local community, but just curious since cryptocurrencies solve a lot of potential problems. You can issue ELM on something like the bitshares blockchain so there is a public ledger for audits and there is redundancy to the database. Maybe something to think about down the road.

It isn't really asset based either. We are just selective about who gets credit and how much.
The money is created by giving some accounts the ability to carry negative balances.
The database is hosted on our nonprofit site and backed up daily. If it got corrupted we'd go to our most recent backup.
The system is all digital and you can pay via mobile or desktop through the site.
Is there a way to take money out of circulation in a blockchain system?
