Twitter is having problems with too many bots crawling steemit too?
I saw this article on bloomberg regarding fake news on twitter due to russian bots.
that's why twitter is still not profitable and not growing, if it doesn't grow (users) it's dying right?
same goes to steem project, now that bitcoin and ethereum is mooning and steem value is sinking who knows maybe steem will be forgotten.
And cracking down on bots puts Twitter in a vulnerable position with Wall Street. Investors have penalized the company for failing to get more users. The more that Twitter cracks down on fake accounts and bots, the lower the monthly active user base, the metric most closely watched by Wall Street.
Instead of fixing the bots issues, @ned decided to create hype around smart media token
Maybe it's 2017 and steem is no longer sexy
