I have a question my friend if we need to upload first our videos at youtube then what is the benefit of this tool? Or this is supporting direct video uploading to Steem blockchain just like the posts? Moreover I will give it a try by using it. I would love to hear your feedback and guidance related to my question.
From now, it will have compatibility with YouTube. However, we will be adding new methods progressively.
We know that the community wants a method to upload videos directly, however this is a task that has many technical and economic limitations, but it is not impossible! Only that the implementation will be gradual and scalable.

Exactly you got me right we need our own server to upload videos. If we still use YouTube to upload videos and then we can simply paste the link of YouTube video in our post which is already supported then this tool does not make sense.
It will be great reading your proposal and seeing it in operations as a separate platform for the Steem videos.
