This isn't real life STEEMIT can't be this awesome...

I wish the whale experiment was real life. There has been no word of it ever ending but no guarantee it won't either. Everyone knows we can not always rely on benevolent whales to make STEEMIT "fair". Eventually that has to get rolled in to the code.... right? Or a better distribution of STEEMPOWER achieved or a combination of both. What if the Whale wars have opened Pandora's box of whale on whale flagging? Will they always be so unified?

Regardless of the results of this experiment it has been fun to take part in and earning all the more STEEM because of it. I expect it will be fun to watch where this goes from here and the only place to do that is on STEEMIT. If you are reading this and have not joined yet. Do it. How long have you been on Facebook/Twitter/Insta? How much Bitcoin have you earned from that? How much USD? How much STEEM? BItshares? lol

If you don't know what the whale experiment is this part is for you.

Some whales decided to run bots that would auto flag other whales. If someone with over a certain amount of STEEMPOWER voted with a high enough percent another whale would downvote that post proportionally. Not to completely erase rewards but just... tax them. Taking some of that and giving it to everyone else on the platform. NOT taxing it and taking the money for STEEMIT INC. .

It is spreading that STEEM to every slightly less whale loved post there is on STEEMIT. Effectively making every one of our votes worth much more. The last tIme I could give someone 1 cent with a 100% upvote STEEM was at 4 dollars and my account was valued close to 3 thousand dollars. My vote just gave this post 2 cents and my account right now is worth about 500$. The effect has been a pump in price and happy minnows/dolphins but I wonder will this become the norm. I hope it does.
