What happened to Steemit?

This place looks nothing like it was before. What happened to the great promise of uncensorable, decentralized, crypto-blogging?

I guess like everything in this space - that which does not evolve - eventually becomes extinct.

And that is particularly true of technology based sites like this one.

NFTs are where it's at now and folks aren't interested in immutable words.

Which - as it turns out - isn't quite so immutable.
