Bitchat: New Messaging App by Jack Dorsey
Hello everyone. Today I want to tell you about new messaging app called Bitchat. Jack Dorsey made this app. He is person who created Twitter before.
What is Bitchat?
Bitchat is messaging app that works without internet. Yes, you read correct. No internet needed. It uses Bluetooth to send messages between phones. This is very different from WhatsApp or other apps we use.
Jack Dorsey released this app in July 2025. The app lets people chat even when there is no wifi or mobile data. This can be useful when internet is down or in places with no signal.
How it Works
The app uses something called mesh networking. Your phone talks to other phones near you. Then those phones pass your message to more phones. This way message can travel far distance even without internet.
You dont need to make account or give phone number. Just download and start using. Messages are encrypted so only you and other person can read them.
Why This App is Important
This app can be very useful in many situations:
- When there is emergency and internet stops working
- In places where government blocks internet
- For people who want more privacy
- In areas with no cell phone towers
The app is open source. This means anyone can look at the code and help make it better.
Problems with the App

Right now the app is in testing. iPhone users can get it through TestFlight but it is full already. Android users can download from website but be careful because of security issues.

I think this app has good idea but needs more work. The concept of messaging without internet is very cool. It could help people in difficult situations.
But security problems are serious. We should wait until experts fix these issues before using it for real conversations.
Jack Dorsey always works on technology that gives people more freedom. This app shows he continues this work. Maybe in future it will become safe and useful tool.
For now I suggest using other apps like Signal for important messages. But keep watching Bitchat. It might become something special when problems are fixed.
