Now keep in mind the price of everyday items in the country such as a 1.5 liter (.4 gallons) bottle of water costs 32.97 Philippine Pesos (₱) which comes out to 65 cents. The average cost of a gallon of water in the United States is $1.22.
I think you were using this as an example to show that money/value is different between these two countries. But in doing the math, this means water is approximately the same price in the US and Philippines - which is pretty shocking.
Thank you for pointing this out, while you may be correct with this statement. The dogma still holds true and that you can't deny. Perhaps I picked a poor example, but it is not too hard to see the difference of what a dollar can do in the United States compared to the Philippines.
