Steemit's Direction
Have I missed something? I don't post as often as I'd like to because life gets in the way. With life the way it is and not being able to visit, curate, and post I have made an interesting observation.
I see more and more posts written in a language not English. This sparks my curiosity. What language(s) are being used on Steemit? Is the English speaking and writing world the minority on here now? This is a valid question. If it is then that makes it much harder to sustain a presence and continue on the platform.
So, if someone can answer this for me then I'd be appreciative. Thanks!
No, you didn't miss anything Steemit is basically the same since at least 2017 nothing has changed unless you join or joined something or followed certain people who might have left.
What do you expect from communities started by:
Indonesia
Venezuela
Bangladesh
Pakistan
Many don't speak English but if asked they translate and no one checks the language of the community.
Since English is the world language I would say: Write in English most people can translate and if not they are not interested which is in 99A% of the cases, people hate reading, they hate commenting, they join for the Steem and that's it but there are a few good ones if not here, search elsewhere on Steemit. The platform is big and Korean do comment, same for the Chinese and some other countries. The rest stays on their island and might talk with 2-3.
A happy Sunday
