These are very interesting changes. The truth is that the role of representatives is no longer exclusive to a small group, as there are now many users with enough experience and knowledge to guide others, and they are distributed throughout all communities and even outside of them.

I think this new approach to managing booming accounts, coupled with the closure of the Representative program, could motivate community members in general to be more proactive. Anyone and/or anyone who wants to can take on the role of supporting the community at large. I think this is what Steemit sorely needs: a more genuine proactivity less nuanced by existing roles and mechanisms.
