How Steemit Might Beat Facebook One Day

I'm relatively new to steemit. But within the short time of using steemit, the one thing I realized is that, this will be huge! Mark my words. I'm sure one day, steemit will change the overall concept of social media.

Day by day our community is growing enormously. Rather than spending our valuable time on Facebook and other social media platforms, we are making each others life better through steemit.

These are the reasons why I think steemit one day might be the best social media platform out there.

• Popularity of cryptocurrency and it's acceptance is increasing each day. As a platform which rely on the cryptocurrency markets, I'm positive on the fact that one day steemit might surpass Facebook.

• The basic social media infrastructure is being questioned. Owners of these platforms are making millions. What do us, the users get in return ? Not much to be honest. This is where steemit shows it's true potential.

• Demonetization and change in AdSense policies. Content creators on YouTube as well as creators who rely on AdSense for making a living out of are facing huge threats. We cannot ignore the fact that it's much harder to make earnings from YouTube than a year ago. The extreme growth in steemit users in the last couple of months is a result of this for sure.

• Us, the users of this platform have the power to make a post go viral or not. YouTube's trending page has a bad reputation in terms of paid promotions. There are people who claim that YouTube's trending page is paid and big coporates are exploiting these opportunities. But here, we are in power. A decentralized platform where we have the strength that no other social media's have.

In a nutshell

Today, Facebook banned all ads regarding cryptocurrency. This shows Facebook is scared of us, a decentralized social media platform which pays it's users for their hard work. Facebook is clearly treating it's users as some lab rats. As a steemit user, I'm glad I got this opportunity to join this awesome community.
