Okay thanks for that info. Steemit didn't seem to require a verified account awhile back when I added the second one, just a separate FB (which reqd a sep email for FB, which I legitimately had, because of owning several real domain names, yada yada yada). But when I tried to open a third just as an experiment Steemit's bots said the FB account (now) needs to be verified. Thanks again for the good info.
