How you can fund your Steem Project
Hey Steemians!
The Steemit community is full of creative individuals who are coming up with new ways to grow and advance this space. If you just take a look at SteemProjects.com, you’ll see that there are already 338 projects declared on the site (as of the time I’m writing this post) and it can only be assumed that many more are pouring into @noisy’s inbox.
There are amazing projects like @Yensesa which is bringing citizens of third world countries new opportunities through Steem, @paolobeneforti’s SteemMarket which is building an online gallery on the blockchain for the Steem art community to showcase and sell their work, and @minnowsupport which is building a community for minnows to learn about and succeed on Steemit.
With all of these great ideas floating around and so many talented individuals behind these ideas, it’s only natural that funding will become a necessity. HyperFundIt is here to not only here to help project creators realize their visions, but also to help facilitate the funding and awareness they need to make it a success.
We’re currently the first funding platform for the Steem community, however, many more will pop up I’m sure of it. We hope that together we can help create a community of supportive individuals and collectively bring project creators’ visions to life.
If you’re reading this and thinking “Hey, that’s me!” and wondering “But how do I get funding?”
Here’s how you can get started
First, join our Discord Channel and tell us your story! We’ll happily discuss with you in detail about what you can do to succeed.
Then sign up on HyperFundIt and draft up a campaign telling your supporters what your project is about and what you’ll need funding for. During our beta period, we’ll be able to point you in the right direction and provide helpful feedback to your drafts. For more information on how to create a thorough and successful campaign you can check out 6 Tips to Launch a Successful Crowdfunding Campaign in 2018 or The Secret To Creating A Successful Fundraising Campaign.
Once your campaign is approved and ready to go, the fun begins! You’ll be able to connect with influencers in our network who will help promote your project for a percentage of your donations (you get to decide the percentage). As influencers spread the news about your project to their thousands of followers, awareness for your project will grow and you’ll receive much more funding than if you were to market on your own. If you don’t yet believe in the power of influencer marketing check out How Influencers Are Changing the Brand Awareness Game where we break down the essentials of influencer marketing.
A live example
If you’re looking for a clear example of how our platform works, check out @Yensesa’s campaign here. They’re currently in their in their Funding Phase and open to accepting donations!
Other steps to take
Another exciting way to boost your funding success while hosting a campaign is going out and building your network. For example, the HyperFundIt team will be attending the Steem Creators Conference from today until April 15th hosted by @steemcafe and his team.
At this conference, there will be many influential speakers with whom you may connect with. There will also be a pitch party where many aspiring project creators will have 3 minutes to pitch their ideas to their fellow Steemians. (This is where we’ll be hanging out too!) This is just the kind of event for those of you who are looking for funding to go to in order to get in front of the right crowd. Look out for more upcoming events by @steemcafe here.
Attend more functions like these, talk about your project to anyone who will listen, and you’ll soon find yourself with a strong support system for your project.

I hope that for those of you who were unsure of where to start, you now have a starting point.
Our team is dedicated to helping creators bring value to this platform whether that be by building a project or creating beautiful content. Inventors, entrepreneurs, creatives, visionaries, artists, and even enthusiastic Steem supporters are all welcome on HyperFundIt. Don’t be afraid to reach out and take that first step!

I'm a little confused, is Jill paid from the crowdfund?
Great question! Yes, she is, she is paid a percentage of the funds raised. The project creator
(in this case Jack) would have set the percentage on his campaign so the influencer (Jill) would know the potential amount she can earn. Check out the [live campaigns] on HyperFundIt to see this in action.
That potentially leads to serious ethical issues; for an influencer to be taking money from the projects they promote. What are you planning to address the ethical side of this?
That's absolutely true, what ethical issues are you specifically referring to?
We've considered some controversial ethical issues revolving around influencer marketing in general such as transparent and honest sponsorships. That's why we're very strict about influencers following FTC guidelines.
We will enforce our right to kick people off the platform for infringing on FTC guidelines. We're also looking to build in a review/reputation system where users can review influencers.
We also like to drive home the message of honesty and transparency in any way we can to all of our users this includes project creators (through posts or direct communications).
It's also important to keep in mind that most supporters will be able to see through an ingenuine influencer. This will not only lower their chances for success on our platform, deter project creators from working with them, but also lose their followers' trust.
I hope that answers your questions. Do you have any more ethical issues? Let us know so we can find a way to resolve them. We're very strict about our company's values so any bit of advice is greatly appreciated!
It is the issue of transparency that I'm referring to so it's good to hear you will enforce an expectation of transparency.
I don't think that's empirically true. The crypto market has shown that dishonest influencers can continue to abuse their influence for a long time, even after being shown to be dishonest. We have examples with various Steemians associated with BitConnect, and well known crypto influencers on Twitter and YouTube.
Very nice campaign I am looking forward to this, I want to participate to be an influencer and see how this would work out. I have some followers but not as much as others have great idea @hyperfundit
Hi good to hear from you again @hiroyamagishi ! I'm happy that you support what we're doing and would love to work with you! :)
We were at the SteemCreators conference this past weekend in Vegas. Between that and our sudden increase of visibility, there's been an influx of project submissions so we're taking our campaign down to focus on helping our users succeed.
We're working with the project creators right now to draft up their campaigns, they will be available in the next week. There are some exciting campaigns in the works, I will keep you posted! :D

Just letting you guys know you are not actually the first funding platform. @jerrybanfield has his @budgets project. Still cool to have more than 1 though ;)
Cool, thanks for letting us know! I feel like there should be even more platforms, there are hundreds of projects that need to be funded and hundreds more to come. The more help the better!

It's a good idea and I am looking forward to seeing more.
Thank you, will do :)

When it comes, you'll know it ;) Looking forward to it when it happens!

A brilliant idea! It helps ordinary people like us to achieve the impossibles!
Hey, you are not ordinary! And yes you can achieve anything :)

Fantastic idea. Wishing Hyperfundit all the success in the world. Hopefully it can be used for 'good works' projects too. Steemit has great potential for supporting worthy causes.
Thank you! We're looking to expand into that, but need more infrastructure first :)
