Learning Rudiments About Steemit
When i first signed up to Steemit, i logged on to my facebook page to look for pages on facebook having link with Steemit. I saw some.
With a burning desire to grow big and explode on Steemit, i joined some of these pages on facebook. But to my utmost surprise most people there are as green as vegetable. They were mostly newbies just like me.
"Upvote for upvote, comment for comment and follow for follow" was the in-thing. You promise people upvote or comment or follow, even resteem, so far they do the same for you.
This method did not yield the desired result. Yet @lemmybe kept on singing it to my hearing that i should be "commenting" on posts that i need to build relationship first.
Sounds weird!!!
I tried it and alàs, it worked.
To the new steemian, keep commenting on posts. That is the first step on steemit. I noticed two visible things when i started commenting on people's posts
- The number of my followers increased slowly.
- My Reputation also increased.
Least i forget, you also earn through your comments. My biggest cent was earned through à comment.
NB: i am also a learner. We just have to learn together because no one is an island of knowledge.
You can also share how you started steeming...
That is it, my bro.. we all Learn everyday. What you said about what people are doing on fb is funny. Lol. Follow for follow, upvote for up vote. The real secret here is relationships. It even pains that my engagement isn't like before.
