You can now generate a Steem Dollar Address within Bittrex for depositing and withdrawing.

Steps to transfer to Bittrex

1. Generate an address
2. Go onto Steem and click on wallets
3. Beside Steem Dollars, click transfer
4. Paste the 'memo' identifier from Bittrex and the username "bittrex" into the fields
5. Hit transfer!

Steps to transfer back

1. Enter in your steem account
2. Enter the amount
3. Hit Withdrawl

There is no market yet as it still is early. This might change soon.

So, I guess that this will push the bold claim of $1 USD = 1 Steem Dollar if it is paired up against USD which it likely will be. It will be interesting to see how much of an effect this will have on the overall economy since all 3 currencies within Steem are connected more or less. I'd imagine that they would be dragging each other around.

On top of that, those that are in it for the long term will be able to provide liquidity for those wanting to get their rewards out of the platform.
