Well, I am from Honduras I actually lived through a time in the 80's when people were executed for being communists, these included a classmate of mine who was summarily executed, and some of those killed weren't even communists, so I have a certain ambivalence about this, it was sometimes used as an excuse to get rid of people someone didn't like. And there were places in Latin America that were much worse.
