Should I Be Skinnier as a Raw Vegan?
Should I Be Skinnier as a Raw Vegan? Many people think I "should" look a different way having been a raw vegan for 11 years. Is this the truth? Can I be a healthy looking woman and still be beautiful? It isn''t be about being "skinny." It is about BEING HEALTHY.
The purpose of this video is… to show you what HEALTH LOOKS AND FEELS LIKE FOR ME. THERE IS NO PERFECT FRAME FOR WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN LOOKS LIKE. There is no ONE way that a healthy body should look. I am putting myself out here and being super vulnerable because I believe in this so much. I WANT TO SHARE MY THOUGHTS WITH YOU ON WHAT A TRULY BEAUTIFUL FEMALE WOMAN BODY CAN LOOK LIKE...and it doesn’t have to be WHAT SOCIETY DEEMS “appropriate” or “acceptable.”
I have received SOOO many comments from people about my body. I’m too fat, too thin, gross, beautiful, etc. EVERYONE has a different opinion, and the one that matters most to me...IS MINE. Do I feel confident and beautiful in my skin?! Do I feel vibrant and alive? Am I physically fit? Am I happy? The answer is YES, not because of what I look like physically, but because of HOW I FEEL ON THIS INSIDE, the amount of energy I have, my digestion, my skin, my properly functioning immune system, my emotional state, and more.
There are many people who are naturally thinner than others. If this is your natural shape, then THAT IS BEAUTIFUL. CELEBRATE YOUR SHAPE. If you are curvier and more voluptuous, that is BEAUTIFUL. BE YOU! What matters most is that you ARE trying to take care of your health, from the inside out.
Not everyone who is thin is healthy and vice versa. There are many women who base their ENTIRE self-worth on whether or not they are thin. It consumes them, and it has become their LIFE. Is THAT healthy? What you may think is perfect…. isn’t always perfect. Everyone has a different idea of “perfect.” True health and happiness cannot always be seen with the human eye. Some REALLY HURT THEIR BODIES TO BE WHAT THEY FEEL LOOKS LIKE LIKE PERFECT. Strong and healthy are not associated with a certain size.
Ethnic women, such as myself, tend to have more shape, and this does not mean that they are not healthy. Ethnic women of color can be held to a different standard. And just because this is my reality doesn’t mean this is the reality for everyone else. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. BEING CURVY AND HEALTHY ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.
I desire to be a positive and healthy example for young girls and ALL women of what a TRULY HEALTHY AND LONG TERM SUSTAINABLE BODY CAN LOOK LIKE…. NOT FAD DIETING. I don’t expect to gain 30 pounds in 30 years because this diet isn’t a DIET for me...it’s a LIFESTYLE.
Many people have this idea that if they take on a raw vegan or vegan diet, they are going to lose a TON of weight and look very skinny. While this may happen for some, this doesn’t have to be the case. Based upon how much you eat and workout, you can control your weight just as you wish. If you want to be more shapely, then eat more calories...eat more fruit and fat. If you want to slender down, eat more greens with fruit. The whole purpose of this diet is not to be thin, it’s to be HEALTHY. Let’s focus on healing sickness or other ailments, and watch our bodies come to life.
BODY SHAMING is NEVER ACCEPTABLE. You’re essentially insulting someone’s home, their temple. Would you go into someone’s home and trash it in front of their face? NO. Also, please be considerate that some people may really struggle with their self image and can be super sensitive about this topic. TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED.
HEALTHY IS BEAUTIFUL. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. You don’t have to be thin or fat or WHATEVER to be beautiful. HEALTHY IS BEAUTIFUL.

Yeah it was my request. Sorry I felt like removing my vote to this post. I totally support what @pfunk ask. I had forgot I even asked. Thank you!
Just to let you know I don’t comment on social media platforms because that’s not my topic. I just use social media platforms to share my content with communities that appreciate what I do. I don’t let any third party dictate what I have to publish when and where on my social media account. If that’s different here on Steemit I am sorry to say that this is not my place to be. Seeing my content that is legit and appreciated by thousands of people on different social media networks all over the web flagged by trolls is just disappointing and I just feel that this platform is not the place for me to be! I wish all my friends and followers all the best but I am sorry to say that I won’t use this platform no more because my content is not valued here on Steemit! Send you all some raw vegan love
If you can't take a second to link your established identity to this Steem account, we're not going to believe you. It's nothing personal.
