Neurosis results from being put in an impossible situation.
When there is no right answer, life gets tougher, and escapes into fantasy have been sold as the panacea for that.

Look at kids.
Even when they are right, they are wrong if the adult says they are wrong.

The natural reaction is to push back, but no little kid wins that fight.
Is it any wonder by the time they are teens they are off the rails?
