Threat for Steemit's community
Hello Steemit community.That's my first post so I thought that I should let you know who am I.This article isn't about me but I think that little introduction is necessary.On our lovely platform Im known as @foremostwiseguy .Im IT student and huge Steemit fan.The first time I heard about Steemit the idea of blockchain based,censorship free platform amazed me.Since I managed to join Steemit I was just spectacor and commentator and I didn't think about writing articles myself.But yesterday changed my mind and I decided to warn you what could happen in upcoming days/weeks.
At first I should explain you the phenomenon called "pato streaming". It's very popular type of stream in Poland which is bringing thousands of viewers." Pato" stays for pathology.Most important part of this type of streaming is drinking big amounts of alcohol which leads to happening of disturbing situations like:
-screaming
-vomiting
-name calling
-bullying
-fighting
-domestic violence(yes you can see that very often as Im going to explain in further part of the article) That's just a small part of the "entertainment" but I think that's enought for now.You should get an idea what this thing is about.
The main reason Im writing this post is "pato streamer" called Daniel Magical(Tucznik) who decided to join dLive because of YT policy changes after hearing that you can earn a lot of money here.The problems begins when we realize that he has thousands of subscribers and most of them simply enjoy this kind of content.They are really toxic and they've shown their "power" by destroying everyone who said anything negative about Magical and they even ruined a restaurant after the restaurant refused to deliver food at the Magical's house.Daniel Magical is super negative persona in all meanings I know.The things that disturbed me most on his stream were:
-not helping his sick(alcoholism)mother but using her as a puppet on the stream
-getting thousands of donates which were "calling names" on her mother,for example:"You fucking whore...etc)and simply enjoying it because he was getting free money
-drinking while his underage brother was home which lead him to child care home
-mental abuse over the mother's partner -and many others
This guy creates toxic disturbing content and his presence would be harming for our community in general.We will experience huge increase of toxic users on the platform.Our opinion might get worse since this kind of stuff is really popular and television in Poland talked about it many times which had impact on YouTube who changed their policy due to pressure.Now after Daniel Magical arrival other "pato streamers" will likely join Steemit and dLive due to earnings and changed YT policy who decided to start banning this kind of content.
I would love to hear your opinion about this situation and all the proposals how we could prevent those guys joining our community.Im far from saying that we should have censorship for some kinds of content but Im preety sure these guys will have really negative impact on our beloved platform.Have a great day and thank you a lot for reading this article.Im sorry for every grammar mistake but my english isn't great and all I got was vocabulary.Here are some links to disturbing "pato" content(sadly no english translations):

Yea this is a tricky one. On one hand we are a decentralized platform and everyone should have the freedom to post. That being said we do have a responsibility to keep everyone safe.
This would end up as a community policing situation as the is both the pro and con we will run into as we grow.
Exactly what I thought.But Im really curious of solutions which we could find.Im not really into dramas but I hate these guys and I know they will go as far as they can to get money.Here without almost any rules they could do even worse stuff.For example: the guy who hitted his girlfriend was banned from youtube and started streaming on sexcam platform and doing stuff like shitting into the bucket(for real).That's why Im afraid that our reputation as platform could loss a lot 🤔Thanks for your reaponse it means a lot for me🤗

They are getting A LOT of donates.They have thousands of viewers.Earnings of DanielMagical are counted in THOUSANDS.I can somehow understand watching this phenomenom but I will never understand sending them money🤔
Not rly, Watching is free but they're donating them because of kindness (?). I know that sound awkward but its true :/

This is very disturbing. I can’t imagine watching yet alone donating to this madness.
Same to me but recently "patostreaming" has grown enormously mostly because of money given by watchers, and on Dlive they will get money straight from dlive and from watchers too, so im sure that more streamers will come to dlive

Sadly that's true, i am sure that Daniel will do everything in order to get donate, upvote, gift and because of decentralization of Dlive and very few rules, he will do very unmoral things. It's worth adding that Daniel is watched in most by kids :(

If everyone is free to post what they like we will inevitable get content like this and worse.
The question is how we will deal with it? In the past before delegation, individual accounts were in some way responsible for their vote, less so these days. But if a platform like dlive starts upvoting this type of content I am sure there would be a big reaction.
That's going to be tought task for us to keep things clean.That's paradox because we have no censorship but on the other hand we shouldn't let this kind of behaviours to happen.I would love to hear some simple solutions.But I guess it wont be that easy.Also thank you a lot for engagement sir😊
I don't think there is a good solution certainly not a simple one. I think this is one where we have to wait and see.
The only ray of hope I keep clinging to is that this was also a big worry with the internet. But I personally think there is way more good as a result of the internet, far outweighing the bad that is used for. The internet, in my opinion, on balance is a force for good, blockchain is next level and will enable many more great things.
