RE: #3 Bot Guidelines for Beginners: Testing 8 Medium Bots - Min Bid Vs Upvotes Value

Very informative. Thanks for sharing.Btw what do you think about abusing upvote boots like many people do?In my opinion it has destructive long term affect on the platform.Bots used wisely can help promote good content but overall they can cause a lot of harm in community 🤔

Hi @foremostwiseguy, I am with those who have good contents but they were not noticed on the platform. I hope they can use these bid bots to help them promote their unnoticed contents. I am strongly against those rubbish creators promoting their rubbish contents. I have seen those who promoted their rubbish contents like just copying contents from Google, posting youtube videos or just post a picture with a few lines. I feel so annoyed to see they get a very high upvotes for using bid bots, it is so unfair compared to those who posted original contents but get very low upvotes, some even returned 0.00. It must've been very discouraging for them, I really feel for them.

But on a positive note, Steemit is improving by the day to watch the abusers. Many policing bots were invented to curb those abusers. However, this wired world seems so individualistic that some bots with high power were seen abusing their powers. We can't do anything much as we are users swimming in the Steemit Ocean trying to make the best out of it. Some tried to fight them and ends up being bullied, that I can also see. We could only pray that this platform that we love, will at the end of the day, be a platform respected by all bloggers and hence will attract all the quality bloggers to stay and make Steemit the best Blogging platform ever. Stay Blessed!

@@@foremostwiseguy - You raise a valid point.

Do you not think that unlimited use of upvote bots is the real issue? I personally think there should be a sustainable limit place on each account as to how much you are allowed to upvote, not only with bots but also self up-voting. In variably you will find that it is the large accounts that is creating the most damage. I'm sure that a $10 a day restriction on each account ca be written in the code. It should be a non-issue. Perhaps the code should also restrict self-upvotes to 20% of your daily value. This will solve lots of issues on Steemit.

@rlt47 I've heard that there are whales constantly upvoting themselves creating huge amounts of SBD and selling it.This has bad impact not only on community but mostly on the market.Bid bots would be fine if used correctly like @ainie.kashif says.I guess the only thing that minnows and even dolphins can do is curating activly by flagging abusers/spammers and upvoting quality content.Anyway thanks for informative answers with your ideas.Cheers😋
