Although what happens now on the platform makes me sick, and it makes me not even want to put the effort into writing daily, and actually spend time interacting with the people I've met and enjoy the platform, I have no interest in your flag wars drama , stay away! If this is what turns you on, to see the platform crash and let it fill with tons of crap, drama and bullshit, when all that energy could be easily used towards doing some good deeds, help some projects, and help your steem investment get where it needs to be, then alright, have it your way !

It's not just whales flagging the Market Guru...there are over 200 of us and most are minnows. People who really care about this platform.

I'm sorry that your needs for peace and harmony are not being met here at the moment. Hopefully this can be over soon! Trust me, I'd love to get back to regular Steemin. The issue is, that if we let this behaviour go on without resisting, there will be truckloads more scammers joining to make an easy million. Then, bye bye platform.
@lyndsaybowes truckload of scammers is almost a euphemism at this point. More like a whole convoy of 'em and they are here now.
Unless we can convince more whales and dolphins to join us, things are going to go south real quick in a hurry.
Too many users with power and influence are apathetic to what we are doing and this will be their undoing if they don't wake up and fast. They characterization of this as just some sort of drama is part of the problem rather then the defining struggle which may determine Steem's success or failure.
I believe we can win this thing but collectively the user base needs to realize that protecting our Steem investments through moderation is EVERYONE'S business. Not just us.

Ah nice piece. This made me chuckle. Totally agree that decent content that effort has gone into gets easily lost in the stream of literal. shitposting. News flash, pictures of food are boring. That's what the humans have Instagram for.
It's just the thing that as a minnow, trying to get some exposure, it's getting damn hard, because all the attention is on the big whales flagging themselves. Also doing a bullshit crypto analysis 10 times a day and earning more than i earn in half a year on steemit, it's totally crap!
Yep. It seems like in order to get anywhere with steemit you need to blog about crypto and the platform itself. Doesn't that completely avoid the point of the platform all together.

I find building the tribe one by one is still making this place very useful. That said, the analysts are nothing compared to the censorship trickling down from above.
But what are we gonna do, weird people on the best floors - always. And maybe another floor opening up soon'ish and we'll go and see whether they have understood anything at all.
