How to survive and thrive with the next (climate) Crash!

We have started a really disruptive project with enormous impact potential. We worked out a system that favors the global climate and the rural poor.

We are coding a Tree Coin and founding a Social Enterprise to exploit this coin as well as a decentralized platform. This will be our next step towards a parallel, more sustainable economy.

“We” is Stichting Tree Credits Foundation, which stems from my idea in 2009, to provide a worldwide basic income to reward ecosystem services, such as trees delivers. Tree Credits registers carbon positive (C+) locations and then subsidizes the upkeep of trees, organic farming and other C+ land use. We developed an innovative 5 layered monitoring system which eliminate most of the need of middlemen, like governments and ngo’s. In all a more efficient bottom-up system. Financed by the Green Planet Fund and the like, but also this own Coin and economy creation might finance part of the global scheme.

Now we will use this same C+ location registration process to mint Tree Coins (like mining with BitCoin). Later on this minting process could be done by the crowd. This process might evolve into a game where the players will promote and expand the scheme; where players could even initiate, plan and manage location based projects online and so mint the Coins. In cooperation with other like minded, our ultimate goal is challenging, inherently attractive and meaningful Game. With game points and tokens to reward impact; tokens which might be exchanged, under strict conditions, into tradable Tree Coins.

Simultaneous with the minting of a Tree Coin, a TreeCredits Token is created as a currency to reward voluntary work and to pay for maintenance and defence of the C+ location.

Introduction of Digital Currency:
Accept BitCoin, as the first mover, new Coins need to have exceptional features and also great marketing. The features we sure have, as explained above and “marketing” we have to organize for:

• Crowdfunding
• Beta Version
• ICO
• introducing the minting platform
  We need some brilliant concepts to activate the users which might include cash rewards for first movers, like Steem did with paying for content. And even ask money from Beta testers to get the most serious crowd selected! Meaningful follow up is essential.

The technical part we hope to build on the NXT/ Ardor open source distributed platform; Amsterdam based.
