There are three fields targeted to start its inaugural production. The third field is, Field Alan Siwah, Alur Rambong and Julu Rayeu.

The three fields could produce 63 billion British thermal unit gas per day (BBtud) which is expected to start gas flowing in 2018.

"Medco E & P Malaka together with its contractors is continuing to meet the gas production target in Block A in the first quarter of 2018. The progress of the Block A project until August 2017 has reached approximately 55% of the completion target," he said.

Previously, President Director of PT Medco Energi International, Tbk, Hilmi Panigoro said that the three fields still hold the potential of about 2 to 3 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of untapped gas.
