Steem from your bot?

in #steemit7 years ago

steemfromyourbot.jpg

I've been trying out some of the resteeming services that have been rabidly inboxing my wallet with 0.001 SBD to see if they are useful in boosting some of my posts, or if it's all just a waste of my Steem and I should just shut up and focus on writing more.

Here's some of the resteeming services I've tried so far:

@resteembot
Take your reputation score, add 0.0 in front (so 40 is 0.040 SBD)
and send that amount to @resteembot

@carlobelgado
wants 2 SBD to resteem your post

@ebargains
only wants 1 SBD

@melowd
only wants 1 SBD as well

@steemvote
is only 0.5 SBD

and
@sandrajordan483
is only 0.20 SBD

Don't forget to leave the URL you want resteemed in the memo section.

Now I can't say which are the best of the above listed, all of them boosted my post, but overall the response in my estimation, did not justify the expense, outside of maybe @resteembot.

You can give them a try and gauge your own results, feel free to post your experiences below.

The service I find that boosts your results the best is @randowhale
For 1 SBD, @randowhale will upvote your post, and usually, you'll get more than 1 SBD in value in return. It's the best I've found so far, but I'm still looking at all the various options steem has to offer as far as return on investment.

If anyone has any suggestions, or is offering a similar service please feel free to post your information below and resteem this post so others can try out some of the various services available, and post their critiques below to help others.

Or tell me to just shut up and focus on writing more!

I like Randowhale and Minnowbooster but the resteem services turn me off. As do auto exchange bots. I also use randowhale and minnowbooster to give other people who I think post is under value a boost and only give them to myself when I am doing fund raisers. For me I want to grow in an organic way and some of these services don't seem to be an organic way to grow, just a way for maker of the account to make money.

I'm starting to think that way too. Great for newbies to get noticed, but really just waste of steem in the long term. Will check out minnowbooster and see how that works, still trying to figure out the whole steemit platform, so I will check out how this whole leasing delegation thing works.

Thank you for your feedback and support. 👍

i use only randowhale and minnow booster, working pretty well.

Checking out minnowbooster now, thanks for the tip 👍

Hey!
You might also be interested in @MinnowPowerUp - a subscription based daily upvote bot that draws its power from a delegation pool. Check out more here!

How about @booster? Works a bit different to randowhale and minnowbooster but quite similar.

You have voting rounds every 2.4 hours. Send an amount of SBD together with your url in the memo to take part. After the 2.4 hours have passed, the bot will start voting, splitting it's power dependent on the amount of SBD you have sent.

Thanks, I'll actually give that a try and see what happens 👍

Will try that one too, if I can ever recoup all my wasted steem.
Thanks

This is gold standard material.

I thought randowhale was 2SBD? Damn did I over pay last time? I tried the carlobelgado resteem but didn't think it was worth the price. He sent me a message that his "sister" would resteem my article the next day as well but I didn't see it.

Good article. Its interesting seeing other peoples results.

You got an upvote and a follow good sir.

Thanks Harley, upvoted and followed. 👍
I got that same message about his "sister",
probably another resteemer milking people's steem 👎

Nope. Sister is @joanaltres. Funny how you are ragging on it but you used it to boost this post. Lol. And from what I see, you've gained about $5 - more upvotes and comments from the @carlobelgado resteem.

Not ragging on it Jorge, just kinda odd that we received the same message. I used them to resteem this post in order to receive feedback from others who've also used their service to see what their experiences have been, and if people had any suggestions or recommendations. The post is titled "Steem from your bot" for a reason.

As for additional upvote value and comments, they were a combined total from @Booster, @randowhale and @minnowbooster upvotes and not from any of the resteems I made, they only added a few additional cents, and I used several resteeming services on this one, not just the two you mentioned. As a matter of fact, you can see the many negative responses I received from others who have used these resteeming services, and people don't seem to feel they're worth it.

So considering the overall value, I would recommend upvoting bots over resteeming bots, given my returns on this post regarding the subject.
I appreciate that there are steemians willing to provide this service, however, I also feel that it is my responsibility as a new member of the community to review and publicly post my assessment of these services, for other users who may be looking for tools to increase their traffic, and allow a forum like this for them to provide feedback and share their experiences.

I also understand that there are jurisdictions where the value of steem is significantly higher in relation to their local currency, which makes resteeming posts for 1 or 2 SBD, a very lucrative passive income for those individuals.

In the end this is not about making money from steem, but how to boost your presence on the platform, get more views, initiate conversation, and increase followers. If that garners more upvotes and steem, great. But if people are spending 1 or 2 SBD, only to get a return of only 0.30 or 0.40, I don't feel it's really worth their time and effort, and I wanted to start a conversation on the subject to see what others had experienced, and as you can see, most of the feedback was negative.

I was right though, "Sister" is another resteemer, just as I suspected. I respect their right to try and make a passive income on Steem, but like any other business model, they need to expect constructive criticism on their modus operandi, and not take it so personally as you did.

Look on the @joanaltres profile page and scroll down a lot and you'll see it. Both of them resteemed your post.

I dont like this bots looks like scam.

Don't seem to be worth the price for return on investment.
But @randowhale and @minnowbooster are worth the price in returned upvote values.

This post received a 4.4% upvote from @randowhale thanks to @daveparkinson! For more information, click here!

Also, @resteembot gives out 10 random upvotes per day and the developer is actively improving the service.

I think @resteembot is the best value for the amount, out of the ones I've tried so far.
Tried to lease delegation from @minnowbooster but it looks like Gilligan is busy with the Professor right now trying to get the Skipper's portal up and running.

@minnowbooster is working on improving clearing rates in their marketplace. Give them a week or two and try again.

Kicker.
I was worried Ginger would get the blame.

You've got the X-factor!

Impressive work.

You're so creative!

You've outdone yourself.

This deserves recognition.

it's not help.. is it? help is when it comes free of cost.

They can be useful tools to boost your post, but aren't always worth the price.

Thanks for your post. It's great information.

Thanks for viewing it. Hope it helps.
I'm finding @randowhale and @minnowbooster are the best for upvoting power, but a lot of these resteem services aren't that productive generating return on investment.
