RE: Daily Steem Stats Report - Thursday, March 15, 2018

in #steemit7 years ago

The average number of posts could start to decline. It is starting to look like the data shows that pattern as of end of January.

In the last 6 weeks the number of posts and comments is slightly declining. In despite of having numerous new users.

I still think there should be more investigations about this subject. If this trend continues the growth of Steemit will soon end. Or Steemit might even be at danger.

What do you guys and girls think?

Considering the carnage in the markets and the collapse in public interest in cryptocurrency, it's remarkable how little the stats for the network itself are declining.

I agree with you, because I mainly buy upvotes as people comment rather than upvoting expecting an upvote on their comments. When I started with steem I got a lot of upvotes on posts without buying. Even the number of comments has decreased, I know I'm still new at this but it concerns me that the only way forward would be buying upvotes. People don't interact on this platform as curators, they simple comment because they are looking for an upvote or two. The other day I posted an article and got a comment that had nothing to do with what I wrote...

I think that happens quite a bit. I usually don't comment on a main post without upvoting it because it seems shitty to me. But I don't know yet going forward, I have to keep chipping away and then I'll figure out the problems. I just need to keep finding good posts that are informative like this one that proved my steemit doesn't mean squat in the scheme of steemit ;)

As long as we don't have the slider it is very difficult. Always running out of Steem power because I do feel obliged to upvote when I do comment.
The other way around I prefer a genuine comment above an upvote on my posts!

I've joined Steemit 3 days ago and found this platform very interesting but I couldn't understand properly how can we use Steemit and so many newbies often find so many difficulties and what I've seen very few Senior Steemian guide and help new comers and new comers loose their confidence, interest and doesn't post, comment or Resteem and gradually leave Steemit and the prefer to use Facebook or Reddit.
Another point is, people thin Steemit is an earning platform but actually Earn is plus point of Steemit, Steemit is Social adn Blogging website with so many fantastic features.

So here is my analysis.
when those Steemian who join Steemit for earning purpose doesn't make money they start leaving Steemian.
When newbies doesn't get enough guideline, help from seniors they start leaving steemit.

I've also post some questions on the behalf of Newbies, I hope some of you will take few moments to answer them.

Your corporation would be highly appreciated.

Its because, many steemit users have more interest in earning for themselves rather than helping others to earn.

Exactly... but we should rather focus on Quality than Quantity. Producing Content which helps than only making money.

Hey @bilalahmad202, I actually have built my channel with the sole purpose of helping other Steemians. If you're interested in learning more about Reputation, Upvotes, etc. then I have created many articles/videos on these topics. Hope that helps and welcome to Steemit! :)

It may be a result of the bear market and relatively low steem price over the last few weeks.

Then I wonder what happens if the market becomes bullish and doubles 5 times....?
