The Walking Dead is without its protagonist
Andrew Lincoln, the actor who has played Rick Grimes from the beginning in the AMC series, will leave production in the ninth season. The series of zombies will thus give a coup d'état in what seems to be the search for a change of course with which to face the decline in audience that has suffered in recent seasons.
Those responsible for the series will not wait until the end of next season to dismiss Lincoln from his role. As reported by the specialist media Collider, the British actor will record six of the 12 episodes of the new season, which suggests a fatal final considering the background of the series over these years
In January and coinciding with the stop of the eighth season of The Walking Dead, the AMC chain announced changes to the organization chart of the series, presenting Angela Kang as a new showrunner and announcing Scott M. Gimple as the new creative boss. The changes were also in the argument itself and it has now been when we began to see them.
